And a side order of indigestion

Do french fries stick in your throat? Or do they feel like they stop just before entering your stomach? Why do I bother with eating them? I now have a supersized case of indigestion.

Where do they go??? I posted yesterday and they did not appear anywhere but on my view blog. But when I went to my blog, they were not there. So today I republished one and deleted the other one that didn't appear anywhere. One day both may suddenly show up on the blog and will at that point be doubled and muddled. Go figure!

I want to go home!

We brought my dad home from the nursing home to his own home this week. We are doing a trial run to see if we will be able to manage his care and keep him happy. We have served him corn on the cob, watermelon, and homemade peanut butter pie for several of his meals. He remarked that he was tasting a piece of heaven right here on earth. It is our plan to be able to care for him at his home for as long as he lives. But when my son-in-law and I were putting him to bed Friday nite, he started in with vomiting. Long story short, we had to take him by ambulance to the local hospital for treatment. He has a bladder infection, received fluids and antibiotics, and spent the night. We now have to decide if we can bring him home again or take him back to the nursing home. I feel badly that this happened, but the hospital staff said it was not our fault. Whew! I would not want to be negligent in his care. I think he will regress and go into depression if we have to put him back in the nursing home. Just don't think I can take that responsibility. Decisions! They are always easier to make in hindsight.

List

I started the morning with coffee and my empty list. I tried to write down as many things as I could think of for my jobs to accomplish today before I forgot what I needed to do. After my two and a half mile walk, which wasn't on the list, I came home, read the paper, and began working. After about an hour of work, I checked the list. Ugh! According to the bulleted items, I had only finished one. So, I promptly began listing all the things I had just completed. Ahh, now I feel better and feel as if I haven't been wasting my time. I will just have to be sure that I completed the necessary items. Maybe I should have prioritized the list.

Begging for Comments

Seems like ever since my daughter "helped" me out by changing the comment name at the end of each of my blogs, I have not received any comments. I know from experience that I have tried repeatedly to comment on other blogs and could not get them accepted. I'm hoping that is why I have not heard from any of my readers. If someone would try it for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Since my last post a lot has happened. For ease of reading and lack of motivation for composing an intelligent blog, I will bullet the happenings.

• School is out for summer.
• Big tree is finally cleaned up.
• Granddaughter is potty-training her doll, but not self.
• Vacation Bible School has begun.
• Had two cookouts on our new patio.
• Procrastinating work at home has also begun.
• School begins in less than 10 weeks!
• Laziness has set in for blogging.
• Fell and have a coccygeal fracture.
• Also known as a pain in the butt.
• Dieting successfully, but unsuccessfully.
• Walking for exercise continues to go well.
