Diapers for Haiti

A large group of us has been busy this week sewing flannel diapers for a mission in Haiti. We had 11 machines running on one evening with a high of 18 people working on the diapers. We were able to make 278! That is our record. Thanks to all who served.

Trial Time

Hubby went to see our daughter, the prosecutor, in action in the court room. He couldn't believe that the trial lasted a while. He said on tv, they wrap it all up in 15 minutes.

Where's the Beef?

I'm starving. What is for supper? I'd ask hubby to take me out but it is too rainy and cold. Guess I could warm up some soup beans. Does that sound desperate or what?

New Baby

I know the sex of the baby that is on the way. Somehow knowing takes the fun out of waiting for 9 months, anticipating, wondering, planning. Well, it does for me. Maybe I am just jealous.

Family Time

During our Christmas get-together, our grandchildren played some games. I was quite pleased to see them stay with it for so long and no fighting. Wish we could be together all the more.

Snow and More

Can't believe it has been a whole week since I posted. Sorry about that. We have received our first big snow of the season causing us to miss two days of school. I don't mind that so much, but would rather have had a break in Feb. instead of three days after Christmas break. We could end up with more snow in Feb. so I better watch what I wish for. Toots spent the day with me on our first day off. We played school all day, complete with nap time. We did a science experiment, reading lessons on starfall.com, writing lessons, and home economics with cooking supper for Papa and Mommy. We had an enjoyable day. Teaching one on one is much easier. lol

Christmas Memories

We had a great time opening gifts this year at Christmas. The most memorable gift was this one to the sons-in-law. Or should I say the most memorable reaction was this one. They are holding a most gawdy picture frame complete with feathers and a horrible picture of their mother-in-law. One of them looks proud of his gift. lol

Happy New Year

Can you believe it is 2010? Can you believe the controversy on how to say it? Some are saying two thousand ten. What is wrong with twenty ten? 1999 was pronounced as nineteen ninety-nine and not one thousand, nine hundred ninety-nine. Always has to be an angle.
