Dieting

Well, it is that time of year when most people make a resolution to lose some weight. The weight reduction help sites such as Weight Watchers, etc. are literally bursting at the seams at their meetings. Makes you wonder if the fruit that Eve ate was actually a very fattening fruit, thus, cursing us all from the beginning of time. The granddaughter has been ill and lost a few pounds. Her new pediatrician thinks she is too skinny and has prescribed that she gain weight. To help her do this, her mother is to lace everything she consumes with real butter, offer lots of cheeses, and give her whole milk fortified with real cream. Now, haven't you dreamed of having a diet such as this?

Dear 'mom'

If it weren’t for you loving moms we sure wouldn’t be where we are today. Check with your daughter’s doctor about whey protein. It is a nutritional supplement that bodybuilders consume by the tons. I am not suggesting that she becomes one, but it will help her gain the ‘good’ weight with as little fat as possible. Hospitals also use this product for post-operation recovering patients. In your case I think you should aim for pharmaceutical grade whey. I am not sure, but I believe that there are even pharmaceutical companies that produce this product. It would be better also to look for whey protein isolate that is microfiltered or even better ultramicrofiltered.
But again, check with your doctor best. All the best.

Thanks for the info. I will tell my daughter about the whey. Just don't suggest that we include the spider.

Luckily, she knows from her itsy bitsy spider book how to stomp the spider and kill it.
