Too Hot To Toast Marshmallows

Toots and I were planning to build a fire in the fire pit and roast a few marshmallows last evening, but the outdoor temp was still searing at 88. I told her we would have to wait until it cooled off. She watched the gage, but it never dropped lower than 84. So I decided to use the gas stove top to toast the marshmallows, and it worked beautifully. Toots was impressed and we didn't sweat a drop. Actually, we could have melted the marshmallows by just holding them outside under the sun. Next time.
