Some Real News Again

Last year we switched from cable to dish because cable was going up ridiculously in cost. With dish we pay 1/2 that price and have tivo. Well, Dec. 1, without warning, (well, actually we got the notice in the mail 4 days later) we lost Channel 13 in Indy as well as the Indy ABC channel due to a lawsuit. I have been so news deprived ever since. I had to watch the local news, but missed all the state information as well as Indy happenings. I don't care what Mr. Food is cooking today, nor do I care what the weather is in western Illinois. And please don't use the same lead story for the third day. If you are desperate for news, send your reporters out a little bit farther, or watch Indy's news and cabbage on to the stories. Our local ABC channel IS Indy. Somehow dish was going to get ABC for us out of San Fransico or Atlanta, but not until mid or late Feb. Oh, goody, I will be able to watch Grey's Anatomy while I recover from knee surgery and enjoy the commercials from the West Coast or deep South. Fortunately, we just added the basic cable program to our dish and now get all the Indy channels for a very small fee and are paying 1/4 less than the original cable bill. Put that on your news!
