Chilled Pop with the New Family

My family went to Holiday World on Saturday and spent the night at a hotel in Jasper. We had a great time even though it was so very hot and muggy. At the hotel, while getting pop from the vending machine and ice in the bucket, H and her step-son, JJ, turned to go back to the room. JJ put the pop in the ice bucket. The conversational exchange went like this: H-You don't put the pop in the ice. We are not chilling wine. JJ-Then what is the ice for? H-It is for the glasses. JJ-Ohhhhh, I see. (When he arrived back at the room, he promptly put the glasses in the ice bucket.) H-No, we put ice IN the glasses then pour in the pop. JJ-(laughing) Ohhhh! H and JJ will get along famously.
