Movie, Popcorn, and Friends
I took my granddaughter, Toots, to see the movie How to Train Your Dragon. (It only cost $7 per person for ticket and food compared to $16.50 per person when we took our grandsons last week.) By the way, we did not ride our bicycles to the movies, no matter what she tells you. We were the first in the seats and patiently-NOT-waited for her friend to arrive. As people filtered into the place, Toots commented on who they were, if she knew them, and questioned their seat choices. Her friend arrived just before the movie began, and we glued our eyes to the screen. Toots and her friend talked out LOUD several times, but so did others including adults. Toots bounced in her chair creating a cloud of dust. She rocked back and forth so hard I thought she would have whiplash. She ate popcorn and drank her root beer. She found the stream of light from the projection house to the screen and chastised someone for shining the light. I worried that parts of the movie would be too scary, but I don't think it bothered her, because she wasn't watching the screen at that moment. But she liked the movie!
