Toots and the Turkeys

Our granddaughter spent the night with us last night. Before we went to bed, she colored and cut out each piece of a pattern to make a turkey. She was so proud of it. Wish it weren't purple and gray... This morning she and I made another turkey. This one required her to trace her hands and shoe, cut, and assemble as a turkey. Looked pretty cute! It now adorns my fridge where I have been requested to never remove it. Then our last project for the morning was another turkey. She stuffed a brown work glove with fiberfill and did a better job than most adults would do. We found felt to cut a wattle and beak and decided on seeds for eyes. We found the seeds under a large tree in the backyard. After I told her that the birds had eaten fruit and pooped out those seeds, she didn't question why we had to wash our hands. With a hot glue gun, she helped me attach the pieces. Had to buy fake feathers from the store and have those to add to make it look like a real bird. Pictures will be coming soon.
